Go to your nearest truck stop that has a chrome shop. They can tell you everything you'll need to know about polishing aluminum to a mirror finish. A word of warning, though; once you get through the clearcoat and polish it up that far, it will be a perpetual job for you. If you don't keep your aluminum polished *very* regularly, it will oxidize and pit...and that's just plain ugly. Believe me, it takes a LOT of work to restore aluminum that's become pitted and oxidized.
